Fireworks near Royse City, TX
Royse City is our nearest neighbor to the west. Head east on I-30 and you are here in about 10 minutes, well before the Caddo Mills exits. Royse City is an unusual town on a map, since it spreads across three counties: Rockwall, Collin and Hunt. That matters for fireworks, because the county rules you have to check depend on which part of town you live in.
Here is the drive, the city rule with its code section, and the options for a legal show, including the city's own event.
Driving from Royse City
It is about 10 minutes and 7 miles from downtown. Take Elm Street south to I-30 and get on eastbound, the stretch named Congressman Ralph Hall Highway. Where you can legally shoot
Generally, the legal option is private property outside Royse City and more than 5,000 feet past the city limits, with the owner's permission, when the county you are in has no drought order or burn ban. Because Royse City sits where three counties meet, figure out which county the land is in before you check for orders. Growth around town also means city lines keep moving, so verify the address with the city if you are not sure.
If that sounds like a lot, the city's Celebrating Freedom show is the simple answer. It has been held in late June near Royse City Middle School Stadium on FM 1777.
