County-option season

On March 2, 1836, delegates at Washington-on-the-Brazos signed the Texas Declaration of Independence from Mexico. Texans still mark the day with flags, barbecue and, in Hunt County, fireworks.
Texas law lets a county commissioners court approve a fireworks season from February 25 through midnight on March 2. It is a county option, not a statewide season, so it only happens where the county signs off. Check the dates and status above for this year.
It is a smaller season than the summer and winter holidays. That makes it a good time to shop without the crowds and try a few new items for a Lone Star celebration. Our store is on the I-30 frontage road at Exit 83 in Caddo Mills. Reserve online if you like and pay in the store at pickup. There is no shipping, only local pickup.
Store hours for the season are posted above and on our Visit page. Late winter in North Texas can be dry and windy, so watch the burn conditions. Most cities ban fireworks inside city limits. Check your city and county rules before you light anything.
For a Texas Independence Day show, look for red, white and blue items to match the Lone Star flag. 200 gram cakes give you a solid show without a big spend. Fountains are easy to light and stay low to the ground. Sparklers and novelties keep the kids busy. If you want a bigger finish, add a 500 gram cake or a few reloadable artillery shells. Assortment packs give you a mix in one box. Our staff can help you pick what fits your space and budget.

Texas Independence Day sales are a county option under Texas Occupations Code 2154.202(h). The Hunt County Commissioners Court has approved it. A county drought order can still restrict some items.
This isn't legal advice. Check your city and county rules. Never use fireworks where they are banned, and follow any county burn ban.
