County-option season
Confirmed
Dates: Jun 14-Jun 19, 2027
Hours: Daily 9 AM-midnight
County-option season, approved by the Hunt County Commissioners Court.
You can reserve before the season opens. Pickup starts on opening day.
Juneteenth started right here in Texas. On June 19, 1865, Union troops arrived in Galveston and announced that enslaved people in Texas were free. Texas made it a state holiday in 1980, and it became a federal holiday in 2021.
Families mark the day with cookouts, gatherings and community events. In counties that allow it, fireworks are part of the evening too. Texas law lets fireworks be sold from June 14 through midnight on June 19, but only in a county whose commissioners court approves it. Check the dates and status above for this year.
We are on the I-30 frontage road at Exit 83 in Caddo Mills, an easy drive from Dallas, Rockwall, Greenville and the towns in between. You can reserve online and pay in the store at pickup. There is no shipping, only local pickup.
Store hours for the season are posted above and on our Visit page. June can be hot and dry in North Texas, so watch for burn bans. Most cities ban fireworks inside city limits. Check your city and county rules before you light anything.
For a Juneteenth gathering, fountains and sparklers are easy to share with a crowd and good for kids with an adult nearby. 200 gram cakes add color without a lot of setup. A 500 gram cake or a few reloadable artillery shells make a strong finish. Novelties and smoke items are fun for daytime. Assortment packs give you a mix in one box. Roman candles and firecrackers fill in the gaps. Ask our staff for help planning a night the whole family can enjoy.

Juneteenth sales are a county option under Texas Occupations Code 2154.202(g). The Hunt County Commissioners Court has approved it. A county drought order can still restrict some items.
This isn't legal advice. Check your city and county rules. Never use fireworks where they are banned, and follow any county burn ban.
