Statewide season under Texas Occupations Code 2154.202: Dec 20 through midnight Jan 1. A county drought order can still restrict some items.
You can reserve before the season opens. Pickup starts on opening day.
New Year's is one of the two big fireworks seasons in Texas. It is set by state law, so every county gets it, and it runs from the dates above right up to midnight on New Year's Day. That makes it the season for counting down, lighting a few things at midnight, and sending the old year out loud.
A lot of families in Hunt County and the east side of the Dallas area plan a small show for the stroke of twelve. Some go with one big finale cake. Others spread out a mix of fountains and sparklers so everyone gets a turn. The cold air helps, too. Smoke clears and colors look sharp on a winter night.
Our store sits on the I-30 frontage road at Exit 83, an easy stop on the way home for the holidays. You can reserve your fireworks online ahead of time and pay in the store when you pick them up. There is no shipping. Everything is local pickup at 5159 I-30 in Caddo Mills.
Store hours for this season are posted above and on our Visit page. Before the big night, check your city's rules. Most cities ban fireworks inside city limits, so many people celebrate out in the county.
For a midnight countdown, most people build around one or two 500 gram cakes as the main event. 200 gram cakes are a good way to add more shots without much setup. Fountains are easy for an early start and safe for a front-row crowd. Sparklers are a classic for kids and guests at midnight (adults should light them and keep close watch). Roman candles, firecrackers and novelties fill out the night. Not sure where to start? Assortment packs give you a mix in one box. Ask our staff to help you plan a show that fits your budget.

New Year's is a statewide season under Texas Occupations Code 2154.202(g), so no county approval is needed. A drought finding can still lead Hunt County to restrict some fireworks, and city bans always apply inside city limits.
This isn't legal advice. Check your city and county rules. Never use fireworks where they are banned, and follow any county burn ban.
