Memorial Day, the last Monday in May, honors the men and women of the U.S. armed forces who died in service. For many families it is also the start of summer, with time at the lake, a cookout, and family in town for the long weekend.
Texas law lets a county commissioners court approve a short fireworks season for it, from the Wednesday before Memorial Day through midnight on Memorial Day. Because the holiday moves each year, so do the dates. It only happens where the county approves it. Check the dates and status above for this year.
The season is short, so plan ahead. You can reserve online and pay in the store when you pick up. There is no shipping, only local pickup at our store on the I-30 frontage road at Exit 83 in Caddo Mills.
Store hours for the season are posted above and on our Visit page. Lake areas, parks and city limits often have their own rules, and most cities ban fireworks inside city limits. Check your city and county rules before you light anything.
What to buy for Memorial Day
Red, white and blue is a natural fit for Memorial Day weekend. Our Patriot Pack reloadable artillery shells and other patriotic items are popular picks. 500 gram and 200 gram cakes give you a show with very little setup. Fountains and sparklers are easy for a family cookout. Roman candles, firecrackers and novelties keep the kids busy between bigger pieces. Assortment packs are a simple way to cover a long weekend. Our staff can help you plan something that fits your group.

The legal part
Memorial Day sales are a county option under Texas Occupations Code 2154.202(h). The Hunt County Commissioners Court has approved it. A county drought order can still restrict some items.
This isn't legal advice. Check your city and county rules. Never use fireworks where they are banned, and follow any county burn ban.
